Shipping Policy

At Custom Tin Boxes, we understand that reliable shipping is an important part of every custom packaging order. Our goal is to coordinate production and delivery efficiently while keeping customers informed throughout the order process. Because our products are custom manufactured, shipping timelines depend on product specifications, order quantity, artwork approval, production requirements, destination, carrier availability, and the selected shipping method. This Shipping Policy explains how production, shipping, delivery, tracking, delays, and related responsibilities are handled for orders placed through Custom Tin Boxes.

Shipping Availability

Custom Tin Boxes primarily serves customers throughout the United States. Shipping availability may vary depending on the product, order quantity, destination, and manufacturing requirements.

Before placing a large or highly customized order, customers may contact our team to confirm shipping availability and estimated delivery arrangements for their specific project. We may also accommodate shipments to other locations when available. Additional shipping costs, customs requirements, duties, taxes, or other charges may apply to orders delivered outside the United States.

Custom Order Production

Custom tin boxes are manufactured according to individual customer specifications. Shipping time is separate from manufacturing or production time. An estimated delivery date therefore depends on both the time required to manufacture the products and the time required to transport them to the delivery destination. Production generally begins after all required order requirements have been completed, which may include:

  • Order confirmation
  • Payment or required deposit
  • Final artwork submission
  • Artwork approval
  • Product specification approval
  • Sample or prototype approval where applicable
  • Confirmation of shipping information

Production Time

Production timelines vary according to the complexity and size of the order. Factors that may affect production time include:

  • Product dimensions
  • Tin shape
  • Order quantity
  • Printing requirements
  • Finishing options
  • Custom tooling
  • Artwork preparation
  • Sampling
  • Material availability
  • Production capacity
  • Quality-control requirements

Any production timeframe provided by Custom Tin Boxes is an estimate unless a specific delivery commitment has been confirmed in writing. Production may be delayed if customers do not provide required information, approve artwork promptly, complete payment, or confirm specifications.

Shipping Time

Shipping time begins after the order has completed production and is ready for dispatch unless otherwise stated. Transit time depends on the shipping method, destination, carrier, shipment size, weather, transportation conditions, and other factors.

Estimated transit times are not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed in writing. Customers should consider both production time and transit time when planning packaging inventory, product launches, promotional campaigns, or retail distribution.

Shipping Methods

Depending on the order and destination, Custom Tin Boxes may use different transportation methods. The appropriate shipping method may depend on package dimensions, weight, order quantity, delivery address, and customer requirements. Large-volume orders may require freight transportation rather than standard parcel delivery. Available options may include:

  • Ground shipping
  • Express shipping
  • Freight shipping
  • LTL freight
  • Commercial delivery
  • Other suitable carrier services

Shipping Costs

Shipping charges may be included in a quotation or calculated separately depending on the order. Customers are responsible for applicable shipping charges unless the quotation or order confirmation specifically states that shipping is included. Shipping costs may vary depending on:

  • Destination
  • Package dimensions
  • Shipment weight
  • Number of cartons
  • Order quantity
  • Shipping method
  • Freight classification
  • Residential or commercial delivery
  • Special delivery requirements
  • Carrier rates

Free Shipping

If a particular promotion, quotation, or product page states that free shipping is available, the applicable conditions will be specified at the time of purchase. Free shipping offers may be subject to minimum order quantities, eligible destinations, shipping methods, product categories, or other restrictions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, free shipping does not necessarily include expedited delivery, special handling, residential delivery surcharges, liftgate service, inside delivery, or other premium services.

Shipping Address

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address before an order is dispatched. Custom Tin Boxes is not responsible for delays, additional charges, returned shipments, or failed deliveries caused by incorrect or incomplete information supplied by the customer. If an address needs to be changed after shipment, additional carrier charges may apply. This may include:

  • Recipient name
  • Company name
  • Street address
  • Apartment or suite number
  • City
  • State
  • ZIP code
  • Phone number
  • Delivery instructions where applicable

Commercial and Residential Deliveries

Customers should provide the correct delivery classification when requesting a quotation or placing an order. Commercial deliveries may require suitable receiving facilities, particularly for large or freight shipments. Residential deliveries may incur additional carrier charges or require special delivery arrangements. If a shipment requires a liftgate, appointment delivery, inside delivery, limited-access delivery, or other specialized service, additional fees may apply.

Freight Shipments

Large or high-volume orders may be shipped by freight. Freight deliveries may require the customer or an authorized representative to be available to receive the shipment. Customers should inspect freight shipments before signing delivery documentation whenever possible.

If visible damage is present, customers should document the condition of the shipment and notify the carrier and Custom Tin Boxes promptly. Failure to document visible damage may affect the ability to pursue a carrier claim.

Tracking Information

When tracking information is available, it may be provided to the customer after the shipment has been dispatched. Tracking information may take some time to become active after the carrier receives or scans the shipment.

Carrier tracking information may include estimated delivery dates, transit updates, delivery attempts, and other shipment information. Custom Tin Boxes does not control carrier tracking systems and cannot guarantee that carrier information will always be immediately accurate or updated.

Delivery Delays

Shipping and delivery dates are estimates unless a guaranteed delivery commitment has been agreed upon in writing. When a delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to assist customers and provide available shipment information. Delays may occur because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

  • Severe weather
  • Natural disasters
  • Traffic disruptions
  • Transportation interruptions
  • Carrier delays
  • Customs processing
  • Labor disruptions
  • Supply-chain interruptions
  • Holidays
  • Incorrect addresses
  • Delivery restrictions
  • Mechanical failures
  • Government actions
  • Other unforeseen events

Carrier Delays

Once an order has been transferred to a third-party shipping carrier, transportation is subject to that carrier’s policies, network capacity, operating conditions, and delivery procedures. Custom Tin Boxes is not responsible for carrier delays that occur after dispatch. However, our customer-service team may assist with tracking information or communication with the carrier when reasonably possible.

Lost Shipments

If tracking information indicates that a shipment has been lost or cannot be located, customers should contact Custom Tin Boxes promptly. We may work with the applicable carrier to investigate the shipment. Depending on the circumstances, a carrier claim may need to be filed before a replacement or other resolution can be considered. Resolution will depend on the applicable shipping arrangements, carrier investigation, insurance coverage where applicable, and order terms.

Damaged Shipments

Customers should inspect shipments immediately after delivery. For freight shipments, customers should document visible damage on the delivery receipt or bill of lading before accepting the shipment whenever possible. Failure to document damage may make it more difficult to pursue a carrier claim. If products or cartons appear damaged, customers should:

  1. Photograph the external packaging.
  2. Photograph shipping labels.
  3. Photograph any visible damage.
  4. Photograph the internal packaging.
  5. Photograph the affected products.
  6. Keep the original packaging where possible.
  7. Contact Custom Tin Boxes promptly.

Shortages and Incorrect Shipments

Customers should verify the delivered quantity and product specifications as soon as reasonably possible after receiving an order. We will review the information and determine the appropriate resolution. If products are missing, incorrect, or materially different from the confirmed order, contact us with:

  • Order number
  • Product details
  • Quantity received
  • Quantity ordered
  • Photographs
  • Shipping documentation
  • Description of the discrepancy

Multiple Shipments

Depending on production requirements, inventory availability, order size, or logistics, an order may be shipped in multiple packages or shipments. Separate shipments may arrive at different times. Customers should review tracking information and delivery documentation before assuming that an order is incomplete.

Delayed Production and Shipping

Production delays and shipping delays are separate events. A manufacturing delay may postpone the date on which an order becomes available for shipment, while a carrier delay may affect transportation after the order has left production.

If an unexpected delay materially affects an order, Custom Tin Boxes will make reasonable efforts to communicate relevant information to the customer.

Holidays and Business Days

Production and transit estimates may be based on business days unless otherwise stated. Federal holidays, weekends, carrier schedules, and manufacturing closures may affect estimated timelines.

Customers with time-sensitive requirements should communicate their required delivery date before placing an order so that available production and transportation options can be evaluated.

Expedited Shipping

Expedited shipping may be available for certain orders. Customers requesting expedited delivery should contact us before placing an order whenever possible. Expedited shipping can reduce transit time but does not necessarily shorten manufacturing time.

Additional charges may apply. Expedited delivery is not guaranteed unless a specific delivery commitment has been confirmed in writing.

International Shipments

If international shipping is available for a particular order, the customer may be responsible for applicable customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, tariffs, or other charges imposed by the destination country. International delivery times may vary because of customs clearance and local transportation conditions. Custom Tin Boxes does not control customs authorities and cannot guarantee the time required for customs processing. Customers are responsible for providing any information required for successful international delivery.

Failed or Refused Delivery

If a customer refuses delivery, fails to accept a shipment, provides an incorrect address, or otherwise causes a shipment to be returned, additional shipping or handling charges may apply. Custom products that are returned because of customer-related delivery issues may not automatically qualify for a refund. Any resulting resolution will depend on the circumstances and applicable order terms.

Address Changes After Dispatch

Address changes requested after an order has been shipped may require carrier approval. Additional charges may apply for rerouting, address correction, redelivery, or other carrier services. Custom Tin Boxes cannot guarantee that a carrier will approve a requested address change after dispatch.

Order Cancellation Due to Shipping Issues

Shipping delays do not automatically create a right to cancel a custom order or receive a refund. Because custom products may be manufactured specifically according to customer specifications, cancellation rights may be limited once production has started. Any cancellation request will be evaluated according to the applicable order terms and our Return and Refund Policy.

Customer Responsibility After Delivery

After delivery, customers are responsible for properly receiving, inspecting, storing, and handling their products. Products should be stored in an appropriate environment and protected from conditions that could damage the tin, printing, coating, packaging, or finished product.

Custom Tin Boxes is not responsible for damage caused after successful delivery through improper storage, handling, misuse, modification, or environmental exposure.

Shipping Insurance

Where shipping insurance or carrier protection is available, coverage may be subject to the applicable carrier’s terms, limitations, exclusions, and claim procedures. Customers should contact us if they require specific insurance arrangements for a high-value or time-sensitive shipment before dispatch.

Force Majeure

Custom Tin Boxes is not responsible for shipping or production delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. These circumstances may include natural disasters, severe weather, fire, flood, transportation interruptions, labor disputes, supply shortages, government restrictions, war, civil unrest, pandemics, power failures, carrier disruptions, or other unforeseen events.

In such circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to minimize disruption and communicate relevant information when available.
